MCI Funds

Since the commencement of its activities in 1999, the funds managed by MCI Management SA have executed 35 investment projects and 13 full exits and executed seven partial investment exit transactions, generating at the end of Q4 2008, an internal rate of return IRR on the managed investment portfolio of 17.2%. The value of assets under management of MCI reaches 303 million zlotys (book valuation as on 31.03.2009, on the basis of the consolidated report of the MCI Capital Group for Q4 2008).

The funds managed by MCI execute investments according to an investment strategy predefined for each fund in startups or existing businesses operating in prospective industries in the region of Central-Eastern Europe. They take diverse action in terms of corporate governance, strategic support and assistance with funding (dependent on size, development stage and sector in which the business operates), aiming at constantly increasing their value in the long term. As a final result, these actions lead to the exit from the investment (i.e. selling the company or its part, often executed in several stages).
