Tomasz Czechowicz - Managing Partner/CEO

A graduate of Wroclaw University of Technology, Warsaw School of Economics and Executive MBA at the University of Minnesota. In the years 1990-1998 Co-founder and CEO of JTT Computer SA , which he build into a leading Central European PC-assembly and distribution operations with USD 100M+ revenue . From May 1998 Founder and CEO of MCI Group. After acquisition of funding throw IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2001 the value of MCI’s investment portfolio grew from USD8M to more than USD 200M. MCI Group specializes in alternative assets management with a focus on private equity investments across Central Europe in following sectors: TMT, Financial Services, Healthcare and Lifescience/Biotechnology. Konrad Sitnik - Senior Partner/Vice-president of the Board/MCI.EuroVentures Fund Manager

Graduate of Law and Administration at Warsaw University and MBA studies at University of Minnesota. He was employed in the Stock Exchange Commission in the years 1993-1995. President of Raiffeisen Capital and Investment Brokerage House (1995-2000). In the years 2000-2005, he was an Executive in Raiffeisen Bank Polska responsible for capital market transactions. Member of the Management Board of Superfund TFI (2005-2006). Mr. Sitnik was an Executive Director in Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej in the years 2006-2007. Since July 2007 member of board of MCI S.A. August 8th, 2007 appointed President of MCI Capital TFI S.A. On July 3rd, 2007, MCI Capital TFI S.A. received permission from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to operate an Investment Fund Trust.

Sylwester Janik - Partner/Board Member/MCI.TechVentures Fund Manager

Graduate of Gdańsk University (Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Management). He also holds a MBA in Strategic Management of Technology and e-business from Cass Business School in London, UK. He has more than 10 years experience in strategic management, new business development, M&A and Venture Capital/Private Equity investments.Before joining MCI Group as Associate Partner he was Director of Strategy & Development at ATM SA, Polish IT stock listed company, where he also managed the company's corporate venturing program i.e. strategic investments in companies developing innovative technologies. He was also a VicePresident of mPay - ATM's portfolio company that has launched a mobile payment service in Poland. Prior to ATM SA, he worked as strategy and management consultant, project manager and director of business development for such companies as PricewaterhouseCoopers, London, UK and Lockheed Martin in Poland.
Responsibilities: management of MCI.TechVentures fund and new products development for corporate investors in MCI Group.
Grzegorz Gromada - Venture Partner/MCI.BioVentures Fund Manager

Chairman of the Board in MCI.BioVentures Sp. z o.o. Since 1995 deputy Director of Wroclaw Centre for Technology Transfer at Wroclaw University of Technology. Since 1998 Vice Chairman in Wroclaw Centre for Technology Transfer S.A. In 2000 he held the position of Polish Liaison Officer to the European Union Working Committee focused on the participation of small and medium sized companies in the Fifth Framework Program for Research and Technology Development. He co-coordinates the activities of the Innovation Relay Centre in Western Poland and is a participant in the Advisory Group to the European network of Innovation Relay Centers. A member of the management group in Regional Strategy of Innovation for Lower Silesia Region. He is the author of the National Network of Innovation Centers, prepared the expertise on valuation of know-how transfers for the Ministry of Economy. Vice Chairman of the Association of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Centers in Poland.
Responsibilities: management of MCI.BioVentures fund and development of biotechnology/lifescience fund portfolio.
Roman Cisek - Associate Partner - Board Member/MCI.ImmoVentures Fund Manager

He is a graduate of Wroclaw University of Economics in the field of Finance & Banking. He participated in a various range of courses; including negotiations, communication skills, time and project management, strategy building, financial management and International Accounting Standards.
In the years 1999-2002, he was employed as a Controlling Specialist in PROFES Sp. j. - a medium-sized consulting and training company in Wroclaw. In February 2003, he began to work in MCI Management SA as a Financial Analyst (then Controller) and at the same time for one year (2004-2005) as a Financial Controller in Travelplanet.pl SA - an MCI portfolio company. In the years 2005-2006, he acted as Financial Director and Proxy of MCI Management SA. In February 2007, he was appointed Member of the Board and Operating Director of MCI Management SA. Additionally, in the years 2004-2008, he was responsible for supervising the investments of MCI Management SA in portfolio companies: Bankier.pl SA, Travelplanet.pl SA and Clix Software Sp. z o.o. Since August 2006, he is a Member of the Board of Directors in MCI Capital TFI SA. In period from March 2006 to July 2007 and from September 2009 till now, he is Vice-president of the Board of Directors in ImmoVentures Sp. z o.o. (Czechowicz Ventures) - the main shareholder of MCI.

Michał Chyczewski - Investment Partner

Graduated in 2004 from Warsaw School of Economics, Quantitative and IT Systems Faculty. He started his career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen Polska Sp. z o.o. in 2003. In 2004 he joined Bank BPH becoming an economist and later being promoted to a senior economist (International Financial Markets). In 2007 he was appointed to a position of an Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of State Treasury where he bacame in charge of M&A and equity capital markets transactions in the area of financial institutions. After leaving the MoST he joined Kredobank (Ukraine) in 2009 as an executive board member responsible for corporate sector, treasury and IT. In 2010 he joined Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego as a bank director responsible for equity finance and financial engineering instruments.
Responsibilities: fundraising, supervising corporate communication, M&A transactions - buy-out and growth projects (MCI.EuroVentures), development of new investment products and funds with special focus on infrastructure.
Michał Rumiński - Investment Partner

With MCI since July 2007. Earlier Director of Corporate Finance Department in the investment bank KBC Securities N.V., where he was responsible for creation of Corporate Finance activity in Poland, also strategic financial consultancy for corporations, in particular in the area of mergers and acquisitions and fundraising on the capital market; Head of Investment Banking in Kredyt Bank (2001-2004).
Graduate of Law at the Warsaw University, Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics and MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
He led several financial structuring and fundraising projects on both the public and non-public capital markets as well as mergers and acquisitions in the sectors of high technology, teleinformation, finance, food productions, logistics and distribution, construction and power. He is the author of numerous publications on legal and financial aspects of international investments, trade and economy. He executed over 20 PE/M&A transactions valued 10-400M Euro.
Responsibilities: Within the fund, he is responsible for M&A transactions (acquisitions and investment exits) and portfolio management, principally buy-out and growth projects, responsible for the development of Cleantech division in MCI.
Magdalena Pasecka - Board Member/CFO

Joined the MCI team in September 2010, taking the position of Senior Director. She is responsible, among others, for the process of separating the managing company - MCI Partners SA. Since she joined the board of the company, she also assumes the position of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MCI Management SA.
Magdalena Pasecka graduated Banking and Finance at the Warsaw school of Economics; she also completed ACCA postgraduate studies and obtained the qualifications of a Statutory Auditor. She gained professional experience as a financial controller in Innova Capital - private equity fund, and the auditing company KPMG Audit Sp. z o.o.
